Job Title: Receptionist/Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors upon arrival at the law firm.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, ensuring messages are relayed accurately and promptly.
- Handle mail duties including receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail as well as preparing outgoing mail.
- Perform scanning tasks to digitize documents and maintain electronic records.
- Conduct client intake by collecting necessary information and documentation.
- Manage and update calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings as required.
- Open and organize client files, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Draft letters and basic legal pleadings under the guidance of attorneys and paralegals.
- Perform continuous records requests to gather necessary documentation for cases.
- Assist with trial preparation and provide support during trials as needed.
- Support attorneys and paralegals with various administrative tasks as required.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Previous administrative office experience is necessary.
- The position is not suitable for advanced paralegal or attorney applicants.
Salary Information:
- Pay starts at per hour.
Schedule:
- The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.
- The work schedule is Monday to Friday.
- Availability to work all day on Fridays is mandatory for those seeking part-time employment.
Work Location:
- The position requires working in person at the law firm.
