As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining all case files handled by our office. You will also provide administrative support to our attorneys and victim advocates, ensuring efficient and effective operations within the office. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with a salary of K106(00) .

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process legal documents and correspondence to maintain compliance with Michigan Crime Victim Rights Law
- Assist with witness coordination, including maintaining witness log and notifying victim advocates of witness needs
- Monitor and review legal court events, preparing and distributing necessary documentation
- Process and file legal documents and court orders
- Maintain and update case information in multiple databases
- Provide customer service and administrative support to the assigned unit

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent, 2 years of college preferred
- 1-3 years of related work experience in the courts
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
