Job Title: Director, Legal, Technology & Commercial
Job Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft technology and commercial agreements and other legal documents to support company’s businesses and corporate functions. This includes software and technology license/development agreements, SaaS agreements, data licensing agreements, consulting agreements, purchase agreements, proof of concept agreements, statements of work, and NDAs.
- Advise on transaction structures and provide strategic legal advice and counsel on licensing, technology, commercial, and other legal topics with a focus on AI.
- Provide advice regarding the company’s rights, obligations, restrictions, and other contractual provisions in tech and commercial contracts.
- Evaluate and advise on the use of AI, identifying risks, and ensuring appropriate contract protections while keeping current with market standard AI contractual provisions and legal developments.
- Coordinate with Information Security, the Privacy office, and other stakeholders (., Tax, Risk Management, Business Resiliency, Ethics & Compliance) on data security, privacy issues, and related contract negotiations.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks, providing general support for the team.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of contract templates and standard contract provisions used by the team.
Education and Experience Information:
- 7+ years of technology and commercial transactional experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Prior law firm experience is highly preferred.
- JD and active member of at least one US state bar, in good standing.
- Substantial experience with technology and commercial transactions, with a preference for prior experience contracting for AI technologies and advising on AI-related matters.
- Superior drafting skills and substantial experience with contract negotiations for legal protection and commercial results.
- Clear and concise communicator with the ability to present and distill complex legal issues into practical solutions for stakeholders.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
- Strategic thinker with excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels within the company with a cooperative and collaborative team-oriented attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Salary Information:
- Pay Range: $116, - $215, salary per year.
- Total compensation package includes annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
