Job Title: Business Operations Lead

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Operations Lead role at the law firm involves navigating a complex and multi-faceted business environment. The firm operates in an expansive space with significant barriers to entry, lacking direct competitors, and functions as a two-sided marketplace requiring the coordination of multiple constituencies through a complex funnel that includes both technological and human components. This position is designed to address daily operational challenges by quickly gathering data, making informed decisions, and executing strategies effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with the marketing team to identify acquisition channels with the highest return on investment (ROI) and conducting market research to discover and test similar channels for potential use at the law firm.
- Developing a conceptual framework to efficiently match clients with the most suitable law firm in the network, considering factors such as case specifics, geography, client and firm preferences, and collaborating with the data science team to bring this framework to fruition.
- Engaging with partner law firms to determine and prioritize the next set of features for development, then working alongside the Design and Product teams to create a formal roadmap and wireframe mockups for upcoming product launches.

Education and Experience Information:

Required Qualifications:

- Experience with a top consulting firm, with at least one promotion during tenure.
- Proven track record of leading projects that involved mapping complex systems, gathering and analyzing data, making recommendations, and designing and implementing solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team culture, effectively advocate for ideas, and secure buy-in from colleagues.
- A commitment to doing good and helping people, evident in past experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with marketplace businesses or complex consumer services such as insurance, fintech, medical, or real estate.
- Experience in consumer-focused research or discovery work, or familiarity with interviewing and empathizing with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Salary Information:

The Business Operations Lead position offers a competitive salary range between $130,000 to $160,000, along with equity and benefits. The final salary offer will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and maintaining internal equity within the team.
