Responsibilities Include:

• Providing legal advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of employment law matters, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, contract disputes, and whistleblower protection.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to support advice and counsel given to clients.
• Drafting and reviewing employment-related documents, such as handbooks, agreements, and policies.
• Representing clients in employment-related litigation, including administrative proceedings and court hearings.
• Staying current on changes and developments in employment law and providing updates and training to clients and colleagues.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive and strategic solutions to clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Employment Advising & Counseling, with a strong understanding of employment law.
• Bachelor’s degree and a juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Member of the California Bar.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct legal research.
• Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience representing clients in employment-related litigation is preferred.
• Knowledge of California employment law is preferred.

Salary Information:

• Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $200k - $215k.

This is a full-time position with the potential for occasional telework and the opportunity for a 60% FTE schedule if preferred by the candidate. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in Employment Advising & Counseling, with a strong understanding of employment law and a commitment to ethical and professional conduct.

As an Employment Advice & Counsel Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of employment law matters, including harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, contract disputes, and whistleblower protection. You will also conduct legal research and analysis to support your advice and counsel, draft and review employment-related documents, and represent clients in employment-related litigation. Additionally, you will stay current on changes and developments in employment law and provide updates and training to clients and colleagues. Collaboration with other attorneys and professionals within the firm is also an essential aspect of this role.

To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Employment Advising & Counseling, a bachelor’s degree and a juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school, and be a member of the California Bar. Strong communication and analytical skills are also necessary, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience representing clients in employment-related litigation is preferred, as well as knowledge of California employment law.
