Job Title: Litigation Consulting Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:

The Litigation Consulting Project Manager at the law firm is primarily responsible for overseeing and coordinating various deadline-driven projects from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include:

- Facilitating communication within the Litigation Consulting team and overseeing the calendaring of research, trial, and project deadlines.
- Designing service proposals, scheduling projects, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for jury research.
- Drafting jury research schedules and creating customized Research Plans, ensuring clear communication of deadlines to client teams.
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the research process, providing quick responses and guidance.
- Analyzing trial venues using public databases and creating venue analysis reports based on demographics.
- Negotiating with hotels and facilities for hosting research projects and organizing facility arrangements.
- Recruiting mock jurors while ensuring jurisdictional and venue requirements are met.
- Coordinating with client teams to prepare necessary project materials, finalizing them, and supervising administrative assistants in their preparation.
- Managing catering and housekeeping needs in coordination with attorneys and relevant departments.
- Setting up mock juror sort templates and creating initial sorts for Litigation Consultants.
- Periodic nationwide travel to on-site research locations and providing remote support for off-site project teams.
- Preparing budget/actuals reports post-project and tracking expenses, including sending a line-item post-project budget to actual report to the lead litigation consultant.
- Coordinating with Client Services for the creation of marketing materials for pre-trial research projects.
- Informing and reminding client teams of project logistics, material needs, and upcoming deadlines.
- Providing recommendations for research locations and creating research schedules and budgets for proposed projects.
- Managing and supporting special business development projects, activities, and events.
- Maintaining and updating research-generated documents both pre- and post-research.
- Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Pre-Trial Research Projects:

- Coordinating pre-trial research projects such as mock trials, focus groups, and mock hearings.
- Planning, scheduling, managing, and executing remote, on-site, and off-site research activities.
- Introducing systems and mechanisms to best manage projects.
- Preparing drafts of written questionnaires for mock trial and focus group research and finalizing them with consultants.
- Executing initial programming and design of online surveys and monitoring their completion by research participants.
- Collecting data from research participants and providing on-site mock research coordination, data analysis, and support.

Mock Juror Recruiting:

- Drafting mock juror recruitment screening questionnaires.
- Enlisting and overseeing survey and market research firms for demographic/geographic surveys and juror recruitment needs.
- Managing juror recruitment throughout the research project and negotiating costs with market research companies.
- Determining jurisdictional requirements for juror eligibility and managing the mock juror incentive payment process.

Training and Advocacy Program:

- Assisting Litigation Consultants in the execution of attorney training.
- Locating training/advocacy program facilities and negotiating facility contracts as necessary.
- Managing all aspects of facility conference rooms, catering, and staffing for each session.
- Coordinating and overseeing Audio/Visual and Graphics arrangements for each session.
- Overseeing the assembly of components for consultant’s materials for each session.

Education and Experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, organizational leadership, marketing, or social science, or equivalent work experience.
- Five or more years of related experience is required.
- Project Management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft application suite is required.
- Experience in statistical analysis using common statistical packages (., SPSS) is strongly preferred, and willingness to learn if no prior experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, billing, and coordinating vendors is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to develop systems and use technology for project management.
- High energy and capability to organize, coordinate, and deliver project management and business development initiatives.
- Discretion is required to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload, multi-task, manage priorities, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with innovative ideas and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed, with some weeks requiring additional hours to complete projects and assignments.
- Willingness to review and respond to communications via email and phone after business hours for timely responses.
- Willingness to travel periodically.

Salary Information:

The law firm offers a compensation package that takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market, and internal value. The salary range varies by location, with specifics as follows:
- Colorado: $64, to $107, annually.
- Montana: $61, to $101, annually.
- Washington DC: $70, to $117, annually.

A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance. The law firm also promotes work/life balance with a scheduled work week, a wellness program, and generous PTO and holiday pay.
