Job Summary:
Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal II to join their legal team. The Paralegal II will primarily provide litigation support, with additional administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a paralegal degree or certificate and/or a bachelor's degree, as well as 5+ years of paralegal experience, with a minimum of 2 years at a law firm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide litigation assistance by preparing draft pleadings, subpoenas, deposition notices, and court-ordered documents
- Manage and work on discovery, including organizing and preparing interrogatories, requests for production, and discovery responses
- Schedule and assist with witness interviews and depositions
- Communicate with and obtain relevant information from experts
- Provide administrative support, such as managing calendars and handling payments
- Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements
- Draft letters and make revisions to documents
- Prepare binders and other administrative/litigation support
- Manage document and file management, including organizing, indexing, and filing
- Manage attorney calendar and schedule deadlines from court scheduling orders
- Conduct factual and legal research
- Investigate and assemble facts and other data for legal matters
- Perform legal research and other necessary factual research
- Input, retrieve, and manage electronic documents on department drives and software programs
- Proofread and edit documents
- Summarize voluminous records
- Analyze and compile data as required by attorneys
- Become knowledgeable about issues in all assigned litigation and other files
- Draft reports and maintain detailed information relating to employment and labor law matters
Minimum Requirements:
- Paralegal degree/certificate and/or bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of paralegal experience, with a minimum of 2 years at a law firm
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Documentum
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines and pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated research, writing, and editing skills
- Experience in managing complex data systems
- Ability to work with others at all levels
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to work in a remote/telecommuting environment
