About the Role
The Business Development Analyst – Experience, M&A will play a crucial role in Latham’s Business Development team. This position will involve maintaining and supporting the firm's deal and case database, as well as leading reorganizational changes to ensure information is easily accessible. The role is available in either our New York or Los Angeles office and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Acting as a liaison between attorneys, BD management, and the BD Experience team to provide subject matter expertise
- Communicating effectively with Marketing Technology, various BD teams, and external parties to ensure a smooth experience collection process
- Prioritizing and coordinating data exports for business development efforts and creating custom reports as needed
- Participating in team and department meetings
- Sharing knowledge of policies, procedures, and technologies to improve department efficiency
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a good understanding of the M&A landscape
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the firm
- Can handle confidential information with discretion
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in corporate practice areas, including M&A
- Experience with marketing databases, market/company research, and project management
- Familiarity with legal markets in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia (preferably)
