Job Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant, Default Chronologies, will be responsible for the preparation of legal reports that offer a concise, factual, and informative summary of the foreclosure process. The role requires maintaining a daily workload to meet all client and regulatory requirements, with work distributed among team members for daily completion. It is essential to maintain a working knowledge of the work rules and any changes to these rules governing chronologies.
Essential Functions:
- Complete daily workload, ensuring all prepared chronologies for clients are completed in accordance with governing work rules, client procedures, and service level agreements.
- Handle and ensure all escalations, correspond with attorneys, sales, and clients on issues to be included in the chronologies within applicable timeframes.
- Ensure all chronology reports are sent to the requestor via the Lender system.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and lender systems regarding additional details about the chronologies.
- Assist with maintaining workflow timeliness through investor prioritization, including approaching standard items and RUSH items, to maximize compliance with client service level agreements.
- Stay informed of client changes and updates and take appropriate action as required.
- Stay informed of CFPB changes and state regulatory changes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience Information
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Real Estate/Loan documents is required.
- Strong working knowledge of default services, including foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong, effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and people skills.
- Ability to independently solve complex problems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Accurate problem-solving skills and analytical skills with the ability to make swift, sound judgments.
- Capable of working independently under fast-paced conditions with changing priorities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and business Skype.
- Knowledge of LoanSphere BK/FC, Clarifier, Vendorscape, and Tempo systems preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, some college required, HS Diploma required.
- Minimum 1+ years of mortgage servicing experience.
- Minimum 1+ years of foreclosure experience preferred.
Salary Information
Pay Range: $20 to $23 hourly
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time
