Job Title: 2026 2L Finance Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
As a 2026 2L Finance Summer Associate at the law firm, you will be a part of the Finance Business Unit. Your responsibilities include:
- Becoming a full member of the law firm's 2026 Summer Associate Program within the Finance Business Unit.
- Working under the supervision of law firm partner sponsors who will manage your work assignments, networking opportunities, and career coaching, tailored specifically to the finance sector. This includes involvement with Practice Groups such as Banking & Finance, Public Finance, Real Estate, Restructuring, and Structured Finance.
- Engaging in substantive work that spans a wide range of assignments across the law firm's various practices and offices.
- Participating in opportunities to gain a better understanding of the legal practice, including shadowing attorneys and attending national and local training sessions. This includes workshops focused on enhancing legal writing skills and becoming a more effective speaker.
- Engaging in unique programming and social events designed to help you connect with fellow Summer Associates and law firm attorneys. Past events have included classes on making sushi, charcuterie boards, and candles, attending baseball games, canoeing, sailing, beach cycling, karaoke, Top Golf, bowling, and chocolate tastings.
Education and Experience Information:
- Applicants must be rising 2Ls (class of 2027) pursuing a JD at an ABA-accredited law school.
- 2Ls attending a part-time program or pursuing a JD/MBA degree at an ABA-accredited law school, who are not graduating in 2027, are also eligible.
- The law firm seeks entrepreneurial, determined, and engaged students with strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in the Finance Business Unit. This includes relevant past work experience and/or academic exposure (coursework and/or scholarship) in finance-related fields.
Salary Information:
- The expected gross salary for this position is $4, per week.
- The law firm is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to attorneys and staff. This includes an annual discretionary merit bonus based on firm and individual performance.
