Job Title: 2026 2L Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The 2026 2L Summer Associate position offers a nine- to ten-week clerkship designed to provide rising second-year law students with hands-on experience in the daily life of an attorney at the law firm. Summer Associates will have opportunities for meaningful career development, network building, and will participate in an in-depth mentorship experience. This role is available in multiple offices including Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New York, Northern Virginia, Orange County, and San Francisco.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should be rising second-year law students with strong academic credentials. They are required to submit a resume, cover letter, and transcript (an unofficial version is sufficient). If a full transcript is not available at the time of application, candidates must upload it upon receipt. For those interested in Intellectual Property (IP), an academic background or relevant work experience in engineering, computer science, or physics is necessary, and an undergraduate transcript should be provided.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers scholarship opportunities along with the traditional nine- to ten-week paid summer clerkship. For 2L students, there is an opportunity to receive up to $40,000 in scholarship funds to assist with school-related expenses. The potential total scholarship amount is $50,000, distributed as follows:
- $10,000 if they receive and accept the 1L summer offer
- $25,000 if they receive and accept the 2L summer offer
- $15,000 if they receive and accept the First-Year Associate offer
