Responsibilities include:

Job Title: Legal Assistant - Portuguese Speaking
Location: Coral Gables, FL
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Experience: Previous legal assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment
- Maintain and organize legal documents and files
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
- Communicate with clients and assist with client intake process
- Translate legal documents and correspondence from English to Portuguese and vice versa
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, such as contracts and briefs
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes
- Coordinate with other departments within the firm to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive legal information
- Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys and legal staff

Requirements:

- Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and verbal
- Previous experience as a legal assistant preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification a plus
