Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant – Transactional Law
Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant will support attorneys within the Transactional Law Practice Group, which encompasses estate planning, probate, corporate, and real estate law. The responsibilities include both administrative and substantive legal tasks. Key duties involve:
- Maintaining file organization, both electronically and physically
- Monitoring calendars and scheduling appointments
- Tracking court and document deadlines
- Assisting in the preparation of wills, trusts, and related documents
- Drafting probate documents
- Conducting real estate research and preparing deeds and ancillary documents
- Preparing routine corporate documents and eFiling with the Minnesota Secretary of State
- Preparing Closing Disclosures for secondary market closings
- Generating status reports and preparing case summaries
- Maintaining client contact and communicating case progress
- Conducting eFiling through the Minnesota Court's online eFiling System
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- A strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferred
- Familiarity with estate planning, probate, corporate, and real estate law is preferred
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro, with 2-3 years of experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Flexibility to prioritize workflow
