Job Title: Paralegal - Trusts and Estates

Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal in the Trusts & Estates Team at the law firm is tasked with working on estate administration matters for both taxable and non-taxable estates. Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with a wide variety of clients in person, on the phone, via email, and video conferencing.
- Drafting, editing, and reviewing probate and administration-related documents.
- Assisting clients with retitling assets.
- Assembling and organizing financial records for estate tax returns and audits.
- Preparing, editing, and reviewing estate tax returns.
- Preparing fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both informal and formal settlement of estates and trusts.
- Completing a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires candidates to have:
- A minimum of 3 years of estate administration experience.
- Experience in preparing estate and trust accountings.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to follow through on numerous ongoing projects in a busy environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong proofreading and analytical skills to ensure top quality of legal documents.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and the ability to efficiently use technology resources.

Salary Information:
Salary for the Paralegal position varies depending on the location and relevant experience. The anticipated weekly schedule also varies by location:
- Albany: - for hours per week.
- Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse: - for hours per week.
- New York City: - for 35 hours per week.
- Uniondale and White Plains: - for 35 hours per week.
