Communications Specialist - Awards: Salary, Job Title, and Experience Information
Salary: The expected hiring range for this position is per hour, depending on the candidate's geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
Job Title: Communications Specialist - Awards
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or a similar field.
Location: This position can sit in any of our US offices and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research of targeted awards, including criteria and previous winners.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather information for submissions.
- Write compelling narratives that effectively showcase the value and impact of the work being submitted.
- Edit and refine submissions to ensure clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness.
- Develop and manage timelines for submission deadlines.
- Help organize and maintain a database of potential awards and submission requirements.
- Build relationships with industry contacts to gather insights and tips for crafting successful submissions.
Desired Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Creativity with a passion for storytelling.
- Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of an awards submission process.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Physical Demands: Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
