Job Title: Conflicts Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the Office of the General Counsel Department, the Conflicts Analyst is responsible for supporting the law firm's critical risk management functions. The duties associated with this role involve new business intake processing and conflict of interest reporting. Key responsibilities include:

- Analyzing information and interpreting search results to identify potential conflicts.
- Conducting research through internal and external sources to gather relevant data.
- Composing conflict-of-interest reports to provide a detailed analysis of potential conflicts.
- Conducting first-round reviews and analyses of new client/matter requests to ensure compliance with new business acceptance protocols.
- Reviewing conflict search results to identify potential conflict issues and providing conflict-of-interest reports to Conflict Counsel and/or requesting attorneys.
- Supporting the Office of the General Counsel, Conflict Counsel, and/or responsible attorneys in the conflict resolution process.
- Reviewing complex search results as part of the conflict search and reporting process.
- Performing searches of external and internal databases to obtain pertinent information on prospective clients and other relevant parties.
- Reviewing content of conflict reports to summarize relevant data and discussing findings with Conflict Counsel and requesting attorneys.
- Applying directives issued by managers, Conflict Counsel, and the Office of the General Counsel for processing new business matters and executing conflicts-of-interest searches.
- Identifying parties involved in various types of legal transactions across major areas of law (., corporate, litigation, bankruptcy, labor & employment, tax, real estate, estate planning, estate administration, trust planning, trust administration, and intellectual property matters) and defining relationships within the conflicts-of-interest system.
- Determining when it is appropriate and/or necessary to escalate issues to the Conflicts Counsel or the General Counsel’s Office.

Additional Functions:

- Engaging in special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- A is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:
- Experience with conflicts-of-interest and new business intake or related risk management/loss prevention processes in a law firm environment is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of conflicts-of-interest and new business intake principles, including the ability to utilize and interpret data produced by research and workflow tools such as Conflicts Management, Intapp Open (Conflicts and Flow), Elite (3E Conflicts Management and New Business Intake), and Elegrity (Conflicts and New Business Intake).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong service orientation.
- Strong evaluative and problem-solving skills.

Salary Information:

The salary ranges for this position vary depending on the location and are influenced by factors such as experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business and organizational needs. The salary ranges are as follows:

- Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, .: $60,000 to $80,000
- Atlantic City, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Morristown, Princeton, Seattle: $55,000 to $70,000
