Job Title: Paralegal (Spanish Speaking)
Job Responsibilities:
- Drafts legal documents, including but not limited to discovery motions, summary judgment motions, appellate briefs, affidavits, memoranda, and letters.
- Investigates factual information to respond to litigation discovery requests or other information inquiries.
- Performs legal research and analysis, both manually and on computers; compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data.
- Provides assistance with Spanish translation and dictation.
- Manages cases and files; organizes and maintains files.
- Conducts factual and technical investigation and analysis of case issues.
- Assists in all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial preparation. Prepares for and attends trials.
- Reviews and finalizes litigation budgets with outside counsel.
- Prepares jury instructions and trial binders; coordinates trial exhibits.
- Monitors legal fees, budgets, and project status.
- Provides general logistical help and supports the maintenance of legal files.
Education and Experience Information:
- Paralegal certification/earned designation required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in Personal Injury law is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Must be able to type at least 50 words per minute.
- Candidates must be organized and able to multitask.
Salary Information:
- Pay ranges from to per hour, depending on experience.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous bonus program.
