Job Title: Restructuring & Insolvency and Litigation Paralegal - (Hybrid Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
Restructuring & Insolvency
- Assist with complex business bankruptcy cases involving Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings, representing both creditors and debtors.
- Utilize e-filing systems (CM/ECF, PACER) for bankruptcy and federal courts.
- Prepare and file court documents including motions, objections, fee applications, proofs of claim, notices, and hearing materials.
- Manage case files related to bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including preparation of hearing binders and agendas.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and certificates of service relevant to insolvency cases.
- Maintain familiarity with the Chapter 11 reorganization process and related documentation (Statements of Financial Affairs, disclosure statements, and plans of reorganization).
- Navigate Federal Bankruptcy Court procedures and Local Bankruptcy Rules, especially in Delaware and Southern District of New York jurisdictions.
- Assist attorneys with managing adversary proceedings and appeals within bankruptcy litigation.
- Support UCC searches and filings (preferred).
Litigation Global Commercial Disputes
- Organize and manage litigation case files, including discovery materials in both electronic and hardcopy formats.
- Prepare, serve, and track subpoenas, notices of deposition, and other discovery requests.
- Assist with drafting basic litigation pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Prepare deposition exhibits, summaries, and materials for expert witnesses.
- Support trial preparation and provide assistance during trials.
- Utilize litigation software such as Relativity, alongside Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Conduct legal cite-checking, Blue booking, and proofreading for court filings and correspondence.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Federal and State Civil Procedure Rules, including Delaware State, Superior, and Chancery courts’ rules and electronic filing systems.
- Proficient in e-filing with federal and local courts for litigation matters.

Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate required; will consider candidates with comparable relevant experience in lieu of a paralegal certificate.
Experience:
- Paralegal with at least 2 years’ experience in both insolvency and litigation areas needed. Salary will align with years of experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy and civil litigation procedures and court rules.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and team members.
- Proficient with legal research tools, case management systems, and court e-filing platforms.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal certification or relevant legal education preferred.
- Familiarity with appellate processes and matters is a plus.
- Experience with UCC searches and filings is an advantage.

Working Conditions: Works in a typical office setting. Often called upon to work overtime (generally after hours during the work week but occasionally on weekends). Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to off-site locations. Note: currently working a hybrid schedule with the expectation to be in the office 3 days per week or more as requested by the attorneys.

Pay Ranges:
This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of law firm’s pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Wilmington, DE: - per hour
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. As a non-exempt role, compensation is communicated in hourly terms to reflect eligibility for overtime and alignment with applicable wage and hour laws.
