Job Title: Litigation Consulting Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Consulting Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating litigation consulting projects at the law firm. The primary responsibilities include:
- Facilitating communication within the litigation consulting team and overseeing the calendaring of deadlines for upcoming research, trials, and projects.
- Drafting jury research schedules and templates, creating customized research plans for each project, and communicating deadlines to client teams.
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients, providing quick responses, and guiding them throughout every stage of the research process.
- Analyzing trial venues using public databases and creating venue analysis reports based on selected venues.
- Researching, contracting, and negotiating with hotels and facilities for hosting research projects, and organizing and coordinating facility arrangements, including A/V requirements and equipment needs.
- Recruiting mock jurors and confirming jurisdictional and venue requirements, as well as coordinating with client teams to prepare project materials.
- Managing catering and housekeeping needs, setting up mock juror sort templates, and creating initial sorts for litigation consultants to design final juror panels.
- Traveling periodically nationwide to on-site research locations and providing remote support for off-site project teams.
- Preparing budget/actuals reports post-project and tracking expenses, coordinating with client services for marketing materials, and informing the client team of project logistics and upcoming deadlines.
- Creating research schedules and budgets, managing special business development projects, and maintaining research-generated documents.
In addition to these general duties, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating pre-trial research projects, planning and executing mock trials and focus groups, and preparing drafts of written questionnaires for research. The role also involves managing mock juror recruitment, negotiating with market research companies, and coordinating mock juror incentive payments.
Furthermore, the Project Manager assists in the execution of attorney training and advocacy programs, managing all aspects of facility arrangements and overseeing A/V and graphics arrangements for each session.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, organizational leadership, marketing, or social science, or equivalent work experience.
- Five or more years of related experience is required, with a preference for project management experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft application suite is required, along with experience in statistical analysis using common statistical packages (., SPSS), or a willingness to learn.
- Experience in project budgeting, scheduling, billing, and coordinating vendors is preferred.
- The ability to work independently with little supervision, develop systems and use technology for project management, and manage a high volume workload is essential.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical skills are required.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed, along with a willingness to travel periodically, is necessary.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Litigation Consulting Project Manager at the law firm varies based on location and experience. The salary ranges are as follows:
- Colorado: $64, to $107, annually
- Montana: $61, to $101, annually
- Washington DC: $70, to $117, annually
