About the Role:
- Perform complex and specialized work related to patent prosecution support for assigned clients
- Manage portfolio management, . Patent and Trademark Office filings, and deadline tracking for assigned clients
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and anticipate future requests
- Maintain manual docket and review electronic dockets for assigned clients
- Timely create and file accurate USPTO submissions
- Process incoming mail and report correspondence to clients
- Maintain virtual files and case records
- Apply specialized knowledge of client preferences and adhere to specific guidelines
- Respond to client inquiries and provide status reports
- Stay up to date on US patent rules and regulations
- Provide back-up support for colleagues and assist with special projects as needed
- Mentor and train junior staff in the department
About You:

- 2-3 years of progressive patent experience required
- Ability to work independently and deliver positive results
- Detailed knowledge of USPTO procedures and rules
- Familiarity with USPTO website and patent related websites
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to resolve concerns constructively and assess risk management issues
- Proficient in essential software programs
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new applications quickly
- Availability for overtime and flexible work schedule
