Job Title: Spanish Bilingual Receptionist/Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The Spanish Bilingual Receptionist/Legal Assistant at the law firm is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that support the overall operations of the firm, which specializes in litigating wage and hour and employment discrimination claims. Key responsibilities include:

- Screening telephone calls and greeting guests.
- Answering telephones and scheduling appointments.
- Updating case files and preparing spreadsheets.
- Maintaining calendars and organizing documents.
- Preparing exhibit notebooks and binders.
- Receiving and sorting daily mail and deliveries.
- Obtaining information from new and potential clients.
- Responding to inquiries about the status of pending cases.
- Operating standard office equipment such as word processors, personal computers, calculators, duplicating machines, facsimile machines, printers, and scanners.
- Maintaining the break room and other common areas, including cleaning appliances.
- Making deliveries and running errands outside the office.
- Organizing and maintaining the file room, which requires lifting large and heavy boxes of files.
- Performing any other work-related tasks, including those related to firm operations as assigned.
- Providing simultaneous Spanish-English interpretation between attorneys/support staff and clients.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Spanish Bilingual Receptionist/Legal Assistant position should have completed a high school diploma, with simultaneous enrollment in a bachelor’s or associate degree strongly preferred. The position requires solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure. Resourcefulness and proactivity are essential traits for success in this role.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, meticulous, self-motivated, driven, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. The position also requires the ability to be covered by a fidelity bond. The selected candidate will need to pass a criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting.

Salary Information:
The position offers a pay range of to per hour, commensurate with experience. For full-time employees, there are opportunities for overtime. Eligible employees receive 7 paid holidays and up to 2 weeks of paid time off. Additionally, eligible employees can participate in a 401(k) plan with a discretionary employer match.
