Job Overview
Law Firm is looking for a Patent Agent with 1-4 years of experience and well-developed skills in patent application preparation and prosecution. This position will provide a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and patent-related matters. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials sciences, or chemical engineering. Additionally, legal and/or technical experience with semiconductor processing and electronic fabrication methods are preferred. This position offers a competitive salary.
Job Responsibilities
* Prepare patent applications and related documents for filing with the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
* Prosecute patent applications through the USPTO
* Conduct searches and analyze prior art to assess patentability of inventions
* Draft opinions, including freedom to operate, infringement, and validity opinions
* Prepare responses to USPTO office actions
* Collaborate with attorneys and technical staff on patent-related projects
* Interact with clients, inventors, and patent examiners
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials sciences, or chemical engineering
* 1-4 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
* Strong academic credentials
* Excellent writing skills
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to read and speak Mandarin (preferred, but not required)
