The Maryland Judiciary is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Law Clerk. This is a full-time, at-will position available throughout the state as needed. The salary for this position varies depending on experience and location, with 1st year Appellate Law Clerks starting at $68,499 and Circuit Court and District Court Law Clerks starting at $63,119 for non-bar members and $70,120 for bar members in any state. This is an exempt position and applicants must be United States citizens or eligible to work in the United States.

The Law Clerk will provide legal support to the Judge by conducting legal research, reviewing motions, drafting memoranda, and attending court proceedings as requested. They will also be responsible for triaging the chamber's work and providing up-to-date information to the judge. The position requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with prior legal writing experience preferred. Applicants may be asked to provide writing samples, transcripts, and references.
