Job Title: Bilingual Paralegal-Immigration
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications with the appropriate government agencies.
- Conduct legal research related to immigration law and stay updated on changes in regulations.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, motions, and correspondence.
- Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and provide necessary support during litigation.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case status and required documentation.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
- Proficient in legal research techniques and tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- No prior paralegal experience is necessary, but some professional experience in a business setting is required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Education: High school or equivalent (minimum), Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred).
Salary Information:
- $42,000-$76,000 a year.
- Salary range is entirely dependent on experience and skills.
- Open to negotiating the salary beyond the posted maximum for individuals with exceptional skills and experience.
