Job Title: Conflicts Analyst II - Intake Compliance (West Coast)
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys and the New Business & Conflicts team to identify and address potential ethical and business conflicts of interest associated with new business.
- Conduct thorough research, analysis, and documentation of potential conflicts of interest.
- Prepare detailed conflict of interest reports and communicate findings directly to firm partners, emphasizing critical issues.
- Review and assess new business intake forms for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with relevant laws, firm policies, and business requirements.
- Review draft engagement letters and assist in maintaining engagement letter records.
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of new business requests.
- Work closely with the Office of the General Counsel, department leadership, and Intake Compliance team members to address potential conflicts of interest and other risk and compliance matters.
- Implement and enforce risk management processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with department management, Office of the General Counsel, and Risk Management team regarding firm-wide training on new business intake and conflicts processes and procedures.
- Contribute to improvements in new business conflicts and intake process, procedures, and technology to enhance efficiency and manage risk.
- Implement departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Identify and support customer service needs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience required.
- 3-5 years of conflicts analyst experience, preferably at a large law firm.
- Working knowledge of Intapp products preferred.
- Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of firm attorneys and staff.
- Ability to manage change within a dynamic and innovative organization while maintaining a commitment to the firm's core values.
- Strong interest and ability to learn new technologies as necessary.
Salary Information:
- The expected salary range for this position varies by location:
- California Major Markets: $64,000 - $103,000
- New York City: $64,000 - $103,000
- National: $61,000 - $87,000
- California Major Markets include San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within the National range.
- Compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, determined by firm and individual performance.
