Paralegal Duties: Assist team with multiple securities offering closings per month. Prepare and circulate closing volumes. Track, obtain, record, and acknowledge document certifications from clients. Take primary responsibility for SEC filings as needed. Assist with client billing for assigned group. Coordinate regular calls and meetings with the team and circulate information needed for these meetings. Manage team calendar of crucial deadlines, team member absences, and firm holidays. Handle email lists, website content, and intranet updates for assigned group. Prepare deal database to identify and track key document terms. Correspond directly with clients regarding timing, deal status, and documentation. Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned, including document drafting.
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred. SEC experience preferred. 2+ years of paralegal experience handling general corporate and other business transactions preferred, though paralegals with a litigation-based background are encouraged to apply. Energetic, organized, detail -oriented, and disciplined with the willingness to work hard. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, through effective communication strategies. Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines and other time constraints, with competing and shifting priorities. Ability to bill 1550 hours annually towards the firms paralegal billing expectation. Strong project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive and professional demeanor. Ability to take direction from a variety of team members and to be flexible with shifting priorities.
