Title & Survey Paralegal ?The candidate' will be responsible for supporting the needs of the Corporate practice and Real Estate subpractice. The Title & Survey Paralegal is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm's attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities of this position include: Assisting in all aspects of real estate transactional support, with an emphasis on handling substantive title and survey review, together with managing the corresponding process. Conducting and managing title and survey review projects within the context of various real estate matters. Ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys. Writing title review summaries and objection letters and managing checklists relating to title matters. General transaction management and execution, including preparing closing documents, closing checklists, coordinating lien searches, entity formation, drafting organizational documents, and preparing authority certificates and resolutions. Obtaining services from outside vendors as needed and process billing and disbursement paperwork in connection with such services; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Should have 2 years supporting a Commercial Real Estate practice group in a law firm environment required; Should have strong experience and focus on title and survey review and management; Experience in a large real estate practice preferred; Understanding of and experience with discrete title survey requirements and processes in lending transactions preferred.
