Job Title: Foreclosure Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Foreclosure Specialist at the law firm is tasked with supporting attorneys in the movement of foreclosure files, specifically in non-judicial states. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting legal documents for attorney review in preparation for sale.
- Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence.
- Communicating with clients through respective client systems and via email.
- Providing regular and timely updates to clients, along with continual follow-up on outstanding documents or services.
- Maintaining information related to specific team documents.
- Drafting correspondence with clients and other agencies involved in the foreclosure process.
- Answering phone calls from prospective purchasers, borrowers, or lenders.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in lender processing or other default services processing within the legal domain is required.
- Familiarity with client and case management systems like Case Aware, Perfect Practice, Black Knight, and Tempo is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams, is required.
- Demonstrates a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, and outside parties.
- Capable of effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and proficiency with electronic databases would be advantageous.
