Paralegal - Product Liability & Mass Torts at Leading Global Law Firm

Overview:

- Full-time position at a leading global law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation
- Provide paralegal support to attorneys on the Product Liability & Mass Torts team
- Opportunity to work in Austin, Houston, or Dallas office
- Report directly to the Director of Administration

Responsibilities:

- Manage all facets of cases from discovery through trial
- Coordinate with clients and co-counsel during all phases of discovery
- Organize and maintain case files
- Review and analyze discovery requests and assist lawyers with responses
- Coordinate document reviews with legal team, clients, and vendors
- Prepare court filings and service to counsel
- Proficient in cite checking, Shepardizing, and Bluebooking
- Prepare and maintain document and transcript databases
- Keep accurate time records

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of defense litigation experience in a mid-to-large size law firm
- In-courtroom trial experience preferred
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Substantive familiarity with the litigation process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation applications/databases
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, and travel when necessary
