Duane Morris LLP, a leading global law firm with over 800 attorneys, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IP Docketing Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group. As an IP Docketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing patent and trademark docketing support to various teams within our Intellectual Property Practice Group. Your responsibilities will include calendering dates for patent and trademark application filings, downloading and organizing electronic correspondence from USPTO and foreign patent offices, preparing docket reports, and proactively monitoring deadlines. You will also assist with intakes and transfers for new clients, attorney hires, and departures.
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma and at least 3 years of prior IP docketing or related work experience. You should have a thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles, as well as familiarity with various patent and trademark offices such as USPTO and WIPO. Strong computer skills and experience working with docketing databases are also required. Additionally, you should possess excellent attention to detail, time management skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
