Job Responsibilities:
The role of a mid-level family law attorney at the law firm in Portland involves working directly with clients on complex cases, receiving mentorship, and gaining hands-on litigation experience. The attorney will be responsible for conducting hearings, collaborating with partners on unique cases, and handling complex legal issues involving substantial assets and business interests. Key responsibilities include:
- Research, writing, and managing detailed case information.
- Preparation and adjudication/litigation of cases.
- Collaborating with associates and shareholders.
- Meeting with clients, building rapport, trust, and case control.
- Being an active team member and contributing to the culture and community of achievers.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- An Oregon State Bar license.
- Experience handling complex family law, custody, asset, and business litigation is a plus.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience as an attorney.
- Demonstrable experience in family law litigation, including hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Creativity and flexibility in advocacy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable courtroom experience.
Salary Information:
The position offers a competitive salary starting at $90,+, depending on experience. The compensation package includes:
