Job Title: Legal Case Manager - VA Disability Claims
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Case Manager will work in the Veterans Affairs (VA) section of a law firm, directly collaborating with an attorney on Veterans’ Disability cases. The role requires effective management of a high-volume caseload and involves numerous responsibilities. These include assisting the attorney with preparing legal documents, performing advanced computing tasks within the firm's case management system, and maintaining daily contact with attorneys, clients, staff, and management. Additional duties include scheduling conferences, managing the attorney's calendar, and processing incoming/computerized mail. The position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates are preferred to have a college degree, either a two-year or four-year degree, or possess a comparable work history in the legal or medical field. The position offers training, and individuals with experience in the legal field, medical field, social services, professional writing, or claims/case management have been successful in this role. Additionally, the firm values candidates who demonstrate a passion for helping others and a drive for lifelong learning. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are considered a plus.
Salary Information:
The starting salary for the Legal Case Manager position is based on experience and level of expertise, ranging from $36,000 to $40,000 per year.
