Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Legal Assistant is a crucial part of the litigation team at the law firm. This role involves providing high-level administrative and organizational support to multiple litigation attorneys. The assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of legal cases through various tasks including document preparation, case coordination, scheduling, and communication with both clients and court officials. The ideal candidate is expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling sensitive legal matters with discretion. Specific duties include:
- Document Management:
- Drafting, formatting, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Electronically filing documents with courts, ensuring adherence to state and federal filing deadlines and procedures.
- Client and Court Communication:
- Acting as a professional point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Responding to inquiries and promptly relaying accurate messages to attorneys.
- Scheduling and Calendar Management:
- Managing attorneys’ calendars by coordinating court dates, depositions, client meetings, and other key deadlines.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments with clients, witnesses, and court reporters.
- Administrative Support:
- Preparing expense reports and managing billing-related documentation.
- Monitoring deadlines and following up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative assignments as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree is considered a plus.
- Experience: The position requires 5+ years of administrative experience in a legal or corporate environment, preferably supporting a legal department.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with legal document management software such as iManage.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and protocols.

- The law firm’s hybrid policy allows for four remote workdays per month, with the remaining days requiring in-office attendance at the San Diego office.
- The office environment is professional and collaborative, focusing on supporting high-stakes legal work in a law firm setting.
- Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis.
Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $75, - $85,
