Job Title: Legal Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

The Legal Process Engineer (LPE) plays a pivotal role in bridging attorneys with cross-functional teams to enhance project efficiency and elevate client service at the law firm. This position involves orchestrating projects that leverage expertise in project management, process improvement, and data-driven insights. The primary responsibilities include:

- Project Management and Process Improvement in Pricing and Budgeting:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies by analyzing historical data and collaborating with Legal Data, Costing, and Reporting groups.
- Act as a central link between attorneys, clients, and internal operations by translating legal services delivery into clear work statements and agile work structures.
- Champion innovative fee arrangements, task-based billing plans, and workflow enhancements to monitor performance metrics and improve client value.

- Marketing, Training, and Practice Group Coordination:
- Collaborate with attorneys and marketing teams to create client-focused proposals and collateral, showcasing innovative solutions and pricing strategies.
- Promote firmwide adoption of pricing and innovation tools by presenting at practice-group meetings and delivering targeted training.

- Client Solutions Group Coordination:
- Develop financial tools to track budgets and monitor matters, ensuring economic clarity and coordination with attorneys.
- Partner with firm leaders and the Marketing & Business Development team to uncover strategic insights and shape client-focused pricing strategies.

- Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal pricing, financial analysis, or a related field is required.
- Preferred experience or certification in project management, process improvement, or knowledge management, or a willingness to obtain such certification.

Skills and Abilities:

- Proficiency in pricing software and financial modeling tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, managerial, and organizational communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and skilled at managing time to handle multiple projects and proposals.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with adaptability and flexibility.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible or extended hours when necessary.

Salary Information:

For applicants in New Jersey, the salary range is $100,000 - $125,000.
