Business Intake Specialist - Join Holland & Knight's Team!
Summary:
Join Holland & Knight, a leading national law firm, as a Business Intake Specialist. This role involves using uniform criteria and procedures to open new matters and support the efficient operation of the Business Intake Department. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in a large law firm setting, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and can be filled in multiple locations including Illinois, District of Columbia, New York, Colorado, and California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and follow up on new matter memos for accuracy and completion
- Analyze engagement letters, scope letters, and waivers
- Open new matters and assign billing numbers, ensuring all necessary parties are included
- Perform general client and matter maintenance
- Adhere to firm and department policies and procedures for opening new matters
- Assist with keeping shared documents current and accurate
- Train and mentor Jr. Business Intake Specialists as needed
- Other related tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in a large law firm Business Intake role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong research, computer, and database skills
- Bachelor's degree
