Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm will provide crucial support to the Litigation Manager and the litigation team throughout all stages of the litigation process. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and facilitate case settlements from the litigation process through to the trial phase.
- Managing assignments and adhering to deadlines, including court-ordered deadlines and hearing dates.
- Coordinating and scheduling depositions and mediations for all parties involved.
- Drafting correspondence and pleadings.
- Propounding discovery and drafting discovery responses.
- Handling ECF filing.
- Assisting with trial preparation, which includes creating and organizing trial exhibits and visual aids to be used as evidence in trial.
- Preparing trial binders, hearing notebooks, hard files, and maintaining all other litigation filing.
- Maintaining, updating, and organizing both physical and electronic files.
Education and Experience Information:
- A four-year degree or equivalent certification and/or experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Experience in personal injury law is necessary.
- Familiarity with MS Office is required.
- Familiarity with the Needles and NEOS software is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- The ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision is required.
- Must be a team player who is highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Capable of implementing and improving administrative processes for more efficient workflow.
- Must maintain strict confidence in all dealings.
Salary Information:
- The position offers a pay range of to per hour.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position.
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday.
- Work location is in person at the law firm.
