Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys and offer backup coverage to other attorneys as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to specific office functions and attorney needs.
- Document and present legal research and related information to supervising attorneys promptly.
- Utilize technical skills for legal research and other tasks, with proficiency in software like Microsoft Suite for organizing and maintaining legal documents.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and professionals, ensuring clients are comfortable sharing personal case information.
- Manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and articles.
- Handle pressure, interruptions, and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and respond to inquiries with discretion.
- Use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiently.
- Perform administrative duties, including proofreading and editing materials for accuracy and clarity.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and coordinate meetings while maintaining professionalism.
- Manage case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court requirements.
- Support attorneys during trials and hearings as needed.
- Prepare for e-filing all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and motions.
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal e-filing, legal documents, and terminology, and manage the file system.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements if applicable.
- Assist with attorney time entries, pre-bills, budgets, check requests, and invoicing deadlines.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals on completing non-billable tasks.
- Monitor recertification needs with attorney access and state requirements as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience as a Legal Assistant.
- Certified Notary preferred.
- Clear communication and information exchange in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to observe and assess data and documents in printed form and on computer screens.
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond and maintain confidentiality of information or adversarial inquiries.
