Job Title: Senior Wealth Strategist
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and prepare Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) financial and estate plans utilizing strong technical planning expertise to enhance client retention and drive positive client outcomes, contributing significantly to impact revenue.
- Work with multi-generational, complex client and prospect families, providing planning subject matter expertise in collaboration with Wealth Advisors.
- Leverage and source internal and external resources and centers of influence (COIs) to acquire new clients.
- Complete complex diagnostic and review of financial and estate planning documents and circumstances, leading to comprehensive analysis, diagnosis, and solution presentation alongside wealth and field teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader in one or more specific knowledge areas within the Elements of Wealth related to complex financial planning concepts.
- Lead complex, UHNW multi-generational wealth planning and strategy for families with assets under management at the company of $25MM and above.
- Partner with internal and external COIs to attract, grow, and retain UHNW client relationships.
- Provide proactive and comprehensive advice around the Elements of Wealth, including wealth transfer tax planning, income tax planning, capital sufficiency analysis, charitable planning, asset protection, executive benefits, and business owner planning.
- Demonstrate proven ability to effectively execute the financial planning and advice process, including identifying and prioritizing goals and objectives, gathering data, analyzing current and potential alternative courses of action, developing and presenting recommendations, partnering for implementation, and monitoring progress.
- Execute planning engagements with company clients and prospects in compliance with all internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal guidelines.
- Maintain proficiency in all planning software and company systems to analyze client needs and determine the most advantageous outcomes.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the advice and planning process and its implementation and explanation to teammates, clients, and prospects.
- Actively engage in Advice and Planning Group and regional Wealth meetings and conference calls, sharing relevant experiences, insights, and topics related to advice and planning.
- Proactively engage in the growth and development of teammates within the Advice and Planning Group and across the company's Wealth division.
- Prioritize workflow and manage time efficiently, being sensitive to deadlines and appropriately allocating resources based on opportunity and complexity.
- Create strong working relationships with internal partners and external COIs (attorneys, accountants, and other advisors) to ensure quality engagements and increased business opportunity.
- Represent the company in civic, community, government, banking, and professional groups.
- Maintain and pursue professional credentials necessary to deliver superior client solutions.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested by APG leadership and suggest enhancement ideas or process improvements aligning with the company's Purpose, Mission, and Values.
- Work primarily in the assigned region, with the possibility of virtual or out-of-region utilization based on client relationship complexity.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- Complex technical knowledge of issues relating to financial planning, including but not limited to income tax, investments, debt management, retirement planning, employee benefits, stock options, insurance, estate planning, and business planning.
- Proven ability to get clients to take action.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional work experience with demonstrated competency in the financial industry.
- Advanced communication and relationship skills.
- Strong computer software and related technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least one of the following: JD, LLM in Taxation, MS in Taxation, MSFS, ChFC, CFP, CPA, or comparable advanced knowledge course of study.
- Advanced verbal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience with group facilitation, presentations, and public speaking.
- Ability to lead and manage projects relevant to the Advice and Planning Group.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Twelve years of experience in financial planning and wealth management or affiliated industries.
- Experience with UHNW clients.
Salary Information:
