Job Title: Tax Manager - Credits & Incentives

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager in the Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) practice, the primary responsibilities include identifying eligible federal credits and incentives (C&I) generating activities, managing the analysis and documentation of these opportunities, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of deliverables. The role involves working with a team of specialists across various departments, collaborating to navigate the complexities of evolving legislation and client needs. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing federal credits and incentives opportunities such as Research and Development tax credit/deduction analyses, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, and Sustainability and Renewable Energy tax credits.
- Delivering value to clients by identifying opportunities and advising on potential benefits and eligibility requirements.
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Leveraging technical skills to solve complex issues in the industry.
- Demonstrating sound judgment in evaluating complex scenarios involving credits and incentives opportunities.
- Developing, mentoring, and motivating Consultants and Senior Consultants, providing counseling and career guidance.
- Identifying potential issues, proposing solutions, and implementing process improvement strategies.
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables, including presentation decks, executive summaries, credit calculations, completed tax forms, supporting files, memoranda, and IRS audit responses.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax developments and working with the team to present potential opportunities to assist clients.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years' experience in a related field. Candidates should have proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits. Essential skills include strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities. Candidates must hold one of the following active accreditations:

- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible, candidates must be a Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or Professional Engineer (PE).

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as MST, LLM, or JD, experience with tax technical research, and experience with Federal, State, or Local C&I. Additional preferences include experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences, Big 4 or large CPA or law firm experience, analytical and research skills, effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and demonstrated collaboration skills.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role is estimated to be between $89,180 and $203,060, considering factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's rules, which depend on various factors including individual and organizational performance.
