Job Title: IP Trademark Docketing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The IP Trademark Docketing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys and clients with trademark prosecution activities. The specialist is responsible for accurately reviewing correspondence, entering case details and due dates into the firm's docketing database, and collaborating with the IP Docketing Manager to manage a large trademark portfolio using both internal and external resources. Key responsibilities include:

- Following firm procedures and risk management guidelines to perform complex duties.
- Analyzing, reviewing, and processing all trademark correspondence, both domestic and foreign, including United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) communications.
- Docketing USPTO and foreign trademark mail in the docketing system.
- Modifying, adding, and maintaining docket records, and de-docketing pertinent deadlines.
- Opening new matters and creating, modifying, and generating docket and status reports.
- Processing incoming file transfers and generating, as well as monitoring, daily docket of deadlines to ensure compliance.
- Responding to various requests from legal staff and other departments.
- Ensuring accurate entry and date calculation for case information and completion and verification of daily PTO submissions.
- Communicating with attorneys and staff regarding pending action items as needed, including appropriate follow-up.
- Handling special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- 2-4 years of trademark docketing experience, preferably with CPI.
- Working knowledge of trademark docketing procedures, including USPTO and foreign practices.
- Advanced knowledge of the trademark docketing processes as typically acquired through training, education, and several years of work experience in the IP field.
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional conduct, service-oriented attitude, and acute attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Salary Information:
