Job Title: Conflicts Analyst Job Responsibilities: The Conflicts Analyst at the law firm plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm's risk management function. This involves conducting comprehensive conflict of interest reporting and analysis. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct comprehensive corporate research from multiple sources and analyze this information to build corporate structures as per the department’s algorithms. - Review, analyze, and interpret complex search results in line with conflict analysis and reporting processes and professional conduct rules. - Generate conflict reports and manage outstanding conflict requests, often under urgent timelines. - Review conflicts reports, provide analysis on relevant issues, and identify resolution strategies. - Communicate substantive information and next steps to attorneys, including the necessity for waivers, review basic contents of returned waivers, and escalate complex issues when necessary. - Assist in drafting and revising waiver language, subject to supervision. - Request and record necessary conflict resolution documentation, including waivers or engagement letters, to clear actual or potential conflicts. - Assist in processing lateral, bankruptcy, and independence memo searches. - Create new matter files and maintain client and matter data in the Elite billing system. - Participate in other special projects as assigned. Education and Experience Information: The position requires the following qualifications and experience: - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. - Experience in a compliance, regulatory, financial, or legal environment is strongly preferred. Experience specifically in a legal conflicts environment is preferred. - Preferred experience with database research tools such as Lexis, Elite, and LegalKey/Elegrity/Intapp/iManage. - Must have exceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal skills. - Strong PC and data entry skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a solid work ethic are essential. The anticipated salary range for the Conflicts Analyst role is as follows: - Boston: $70,500 - $107,550 - New York City: $73,900 - $112,650 The role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate will be determined based on various job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations. Working Conditions: This position requires a hybrid on-site presence as an essential function.
