Job Title: Data Solutions Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Data Solutions Manager is tasked with leading a team to effectively utilize both internal and external data sources and systems to address various legal and business challenges faced by the law firm's practice and administrative departments. This role involves designing and developing bespoke solutions to novel problems by leveraging the firm's data. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Data Solutions team, providing strategic direction, oversight, and daily guidance for team and individual responsibilities.
- Utilize internal and external data sources and systems to solve a diverse array of legal and business challenges.
- Provide actionable support for team members, guiding and coaching them to identify and implement effective solutions to business problems.
- Collaborate on cross-departmental, interdisciplinary projects to incorporate data as part of broader solution sets.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights for firm and department leadership.
- Curate and integrate new data sources to enhance the firm's data ecosystem and support the development of new data products, focusing on publicly available resources.
- Work closely with the AI Solutions and Platform Innovations teams to expand the functionality of custom platforms to better leverage the firm's data and provide real-time insights.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in data and governance to ensure safe, secure, and efficient data utilization.
- Prepare and present reports on data initiatives, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Collaborate across the Innovation team to harness the power of the firm's data for developing and optimizing solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in data solutions technology to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of innovation.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or any combination of training, education, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, data science, or related roles.
- At least two (2) years in a formal leadership position.
- Proven experience in data visualization, data science, and statistical modeling, with high proficiency in Power BI and SQL; additional proficiency in Python is highly desired.
- Experience working in a large law firm and/or with legal technology platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in managing data projects and promoting data-driven decision-making within an organization.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the Data Solutions Manager position is dependent on various factors, such as position, location, education, training, and experience. The hiring salary range is between $135, and $155,.
