Job Title: Child Support Specialist II
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate child support cases to determine the appropriate establishment and/or enforcement actions.
- Prepare records of payment, legal pleadings, and correspondence.
- Update computer records, perform locate activities, and document case activity.
- Negotiate settlements and draft agreed orders.
- Mediate between parties to resolve issues related to child support payments.
- Monitor and manage case logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work; OR
- A master's degree; OR
- A juris doctorate degree; OR
- An associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a related program of paralegal education with two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work; OR
- An associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management with two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work; OR
- Completion of an American Bar Association approved paralegal education program with two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
Salary Information:
- Level I H30A: $36, annually + Full State Employee Benefits
- Level II H30B: $39, annually + Full State Employee Benefits
Additional Information:
- This position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- The role is full-time and eligible for full state benefits.
- Job-related travel is occasional.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain the required car insurance.
- This is a position in the Oklahoma Civil Service.
