Job Title: Manager, Business Development

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of two dedicated marketing and business development liaisons for the law firm's energy-focused and strategic M&A practices.
- Provide strategic direction and drive business development activities in various areas, including:
- Client Opportunities: Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), pitches, and client targeting.
- Business Plans & Practice Specific Initiatives: Develop and execute plans tailored to the firm's goals.
- Client Relationship Management/Account Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Conferences/Seminars, Webinars, and Receptions: Organize and manage events to enhance client engagement.
- Marketing Collateral, Bios, and Representative Work: Create and manage marketing materials to promote the firm's services.
- External and Internal Visibility: Enhance the firm's profile through thought leadership, blogs, and profile series.
- Budget Planning & Forecasting: Manage and plan budgets effectively.
- Partner with colleagues across the Marketing and Business Development department on firmwide initiatives impacting the energy-focused and strategic M&A practices.
- Serve as a mentor and team lead to junior colleagues, providing guidance and support.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in marketing, business, and practice development within a law firm setting, including experience with pitches and RFPs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the energy, infrastructure, M&A, or regulatory sectors is considered a plus.
- Experience in business development-focused event management and leadership is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to translate complex legal services into compelling marketing content.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities, make decisions, and adapt to changing work environments both in-house and for clients.
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of branding and message consistency.
- Technology-savvy, with knowledge of relevant existing software and the ability to learn new programs.
- Experience with InterAction or another client relationship management software is desired.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is between USD $109, and USD $166,.

The role is designed for individuals who possess a combination of strategic thinking, industry knowledge, and practical experience in law firm marketing and business development. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively across departments and offices, demonstrating leadership and mentorship to junior team members while actively contributing to the firm's growth and visibility in the market.
