Job Title: Litigation Support Analyst (Paralegal)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist trial attorneys with various tasks such as case organization, document management, discovery and production, document drafting and editing, administrative tasks, trial preparation including witness and exhibit preparation, and trial tasks including in-courtroom exhibit presentation using Trial Director.
- Mentor and train paralegals on case organization, document management, discovery and production, administrative tasks, trial preparation, and trial.
- Perform document review and manage case documents using eDiscovery platforms like Relativity.
- Communicate both orally and in writing with Unit attorneys, other US Department of Justice components, federal agencies, and others as required during investigation and litigation.
Education and Experience Information:
- A DOJ MBI clearance must be obtainable, requiring US citizenship.
- A minimum of three years of experience on major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree is required.
- Candidates should have trial experience or extensive trial preparation experience and eDiscovery experience, ideally with Relativity.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment is essential.
- Excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities are required.
- The ability to consistently deliver high-quality work under strict time constraints is necessary.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software is needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime on short notice is required.
- Travel requirement is up to 20%, depending on assignments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Leadership experience is preferred.
- Coursework or experience in law and healthcare is desired.
- Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues with data is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly is advantageous.
- A customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on-site with government clients is preferred.
- Experience with Trial Director or similar exhibit presentation software is desired.
