Job Title: Legal Records Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Records Clerk is responsible for researching, collecting, and maintaining medical records, legal records, and health information in compliance with federal and state guidelines, as well as the law firm's privacy policies and procedures. The duties include:
- Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and legal assistants.
- Managing requests for medical, imaging, and billing records, as well as police reports, body-worn camera footage, and police evidence.
- Acquiring and tracking all legal records and formal requests.
- Classifying, organizing, and uploading medical records into the law firm's case file system.
- Updating provider and vendor information in the case management system (FileVine).
- Reviewing and auditing medical records for accuracy and completeness.
- Organizing medical records to prevent duplication and ensuring chronological order for easy reference.
- Assisting pre-litigation and litigation teams with medical record summaries.
- Handling confidential and non-routine information with discretion.
- Performing other duties as requested within the law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in legal studies, an Associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal studies certificate, or other law-related advanced education is preferred.
- Employment stability is demonstrated.
- Previous experience in medical records or litigation support is a plus, but not mandatory. Relevant coursework, internships, or transferable skills are also acceptable.

Salary Information:
The position offers a pay range of to per hour, depending on experience and geographic location, plus an annual performance-based bonus.
