Job Title: Summer Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a structured summer clerkship program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the life of an attorney in Wisconsin.
- Assist attorneys with both litigation and transactional work, including memo writing and research.
- Gain exposure to client meetings, closings, trials, oral arguments, and depositions, offering a front-row seat to real-life legal proceedings.
- Engage in professional development opportunities such as tours of the Federal Courthouse and State Law Library, introductions to judges, and attendance at various practice group meetings and seminars.
- Receive personalized feedback from partners, associates, and dedicated writing mentors to enhance legal skills.
- Participate in diverse legal tasks such as attending family law mediations, drafting commercial litigation briefs, reviewing trademark applications, and writing labor & employment memoranda for clients.
