Job Title: Case Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage daily with existing and potential clients through telephone and in-person communications.
- Order medical records from providers and maintain communication with clients and providers throughout the treatment process.
- Obtain necessary documents to support injury and/or liability positions.
- Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to obtain records and account balances.
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and negotiate reductions in outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Collaborate directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files.
- Maintain organized case files.
- Prepare comprehensive demands and gather supporting documents for submission to insurance carriers.
- Interact with attorneys and present case synopses when required.
- Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster is preferred.
- Demonstrated negotiating skills.
- Capability to work as a team player and adhere to procedures.
- Proactive engagement with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Extensive expertise in computer and database applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing at a minimum of 35 words per minute.
