JOB TITLE: Paralegal - Long Term Care Defense/Medical Malpractice Defense
SALARY: Competitive salary based on experience
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years in litigation, preferably in Long Term Care Defense and/or Medical Malpractice Defense

LAW FIRM is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team and provide support to our attorneys in various aspects of litigation. This role will primarily focus on Long Term Care Defense and/or Medical Malpractice Defense cases, so experience in these areas is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and possess a strong knowledge of legal principles and practices.

As a Paralegal, your responsibilities will include obtaining, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing legal documentation related to cases. You will also be responsible for scheduling depositions and other meetings, identifying and evaluating potential experts, and maintaining an expert database. In addition, you will be expected to perform research on legal issues and precedents, file documents with the courts, and assist with trial preparation as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills, as well as attention to detail. You should also possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients. A minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute and proficiency in computer and office equipment are also required. Additionally, you must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate impeccable integrity in all matters.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package. The work schedule may require more than 40 hours per week to meet financial goals, and some travel may be necessary for offsite work and court filings. A minimum of 140 billable hours per month is expected.
