Job Title: Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
As a Title & Survey Paralegal within the Finance department at the law firm, the role encompasses a variety of responsibilities focused on supporting multifamily real estate financings. The key duties include:
- Organizing and reviewing due diligence documents, which involves preparing due diligence checklists and coordinating the receipt and tracking of these documents.
- Preparing summaries of due diligence documents that are received in connection with the preparation of disclosure documents.
- Drafting and proofreading both routine and more complex transaction documents.
- Preparing routine transaction documents and closing checklists, certificates, and other closing documents.
- Coordinating the execution of closing documents and conducting closings, including preparing closing transcripts.
- Filing UCCs and other required filings as part of the transaction process.
- Assisting with researching federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance and accuracy in legal documents.
- Traveling to client and/or trial sites as needed to facilitate the closing process or other legal proceedings.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess significant experience in commercial real estate, particularly with a law firm, title company, commercial lender, or other related entity. Experience with Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac CME, and/or HUD-insured programs is considered advantageous. Although a college degree is preferred, it is not explicitly required. The candidate should demonstrate a growth mindset, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office applications, document management systems, and time-keeping software are necessary.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Paralegal position at the law firm is between $80,000 and $115,000, depending on experience and location.
